Callie has loved training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and tap since she began dancing at the age of 3.
She participated in competitions with Marr Mac for 9 years, receiving overall high score scholarships for her solos in the lyrical and pointe disciplines at competitions in 2013 and 2014.
She has trained at Ballet Divertimento in Montreal and Harbor Dance Centre in Vancouver, and completed the Advanced 1 vocational exam in Imperial Classical Ballet (I.S.T.D.) in 2015. From 2014-15 she assistant taught ballet with Cathy McFarlane, and from 2017-18 she was a dancer with MOD Contemporary Dance Movement at the University of Alberta.
In addition to teaching dance Callie holds a Bachelor of Science with a mechanical engineering major and math minor.
Callie’s goal is to enable dance training to play a profoundly positive role in her students’ lives and personal development, just as it did in her own. She has been an instructor at Marr Mac since 2015.
