Kayla is born and raised in Edmonton where she trained and competed in ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre at Powerhouse Dance from the age of 4 years old.

Since her competition days, she continues her love for dance at MOD Contemporary Dance Movement at the University of Alberta where she was President in 2017-2018 and Vice President in 2018-2019.

Alongside dance, she is trying to finish up her Bachelor of Arts (drama)/ Bachelor of Education (Secondary) degree where she will be pursuing her teaching career as a drama/ special needs teacher.

She is extremely excited to be teach students and share her passion of dance.
